Kisumu: Luo Council of Elders Meeting

The Luo Council of Elders after the meeting on June 11, 2009.

The Luo Council of Elders converged in Kisumu on 11th of June for a briefing on the National Peace Accord. The meeting was supported by KTI. The orientation meeting was conducted by Lawyer Jude Ragot, the Western and Nyanza Law Society of Kenya Chapter Chairman. In attendance were the Luo Council of elders Chairman, Elder Mechack Riaga Ogallo, the executive board and other elders drawn from all districts of Luo Nyanza Province. The Kenya Transition Initiative Program is supporting the council to organize and effectively play its advisory role to the Luo community and on a national level.
